She's Gathering Stitches

Well, as suggested by a fellow blogger, I am going to finish the girl in the forefront, then add a row of stitches somewhere just behind her. I guess it will be like doubling a row. The border will be a little off, but I don't think it will be that noticeable. I have done a little more on the top of her dress. Now on to her face and hair. Her hair is a light brown in this design, but I'm going to try to lighten up the colors a bit, so she will be more blond. I want her to represent my first child who is very blond. Don't really know where that came from, my husband and I both have dark brown hair....hmm...now don't get any ideas.

Happy Stitching,

Hillery

  1. So glad you decided to move on with this piece. I started to suggest something but not always sure it will work. I've had to do this more than once, Hillery, and it really will turn out just fine. She's looking good :)

  2. I'm glad you figured out to fix your extra row!

My DH's sister and hubby have a blonde, blue eye son and they both have brown hair and eyes! My nephew looks just like my FIL though...genes are amazing things!

  4. My husband and I are brunettes too, but my son is blond. I just tell everyone he's the milkman's! Not really! LOL Glad that you're not frogging anything on your piece and just going with it. No one will be the wiser!
